Why We Chose to Go Independent

Why We Chose to Go Independent

July 29, 2021

There are financial professionals everywhere you turn. The problem is not finding one, but finding the right one, someone you can trust to deal with you honestly and help you achieve your goals.

At Anderson Financial Strategies, we chose to become an independent firm because we are passionate about putting our clients at the center of all we do. As independent wealth managers and fiduciaries, we are held to the highest standard of care and will always work in the interest of our clients.

We believe that our independence offers invaluable benefits to our clients, and we are proud of our freedom and ability to do what’s right for each and every person who walks through our doors. Here’s why we chose to go independent and how our independence benefits you.

Benefits of Independence

Personalized, Unbiased Advice

As independent wealth managers, the guidance we offer our clients is objective and unbiased because we are not tied to any particular financial company or investment firm or encouraged to push financial products that aren’t the best fit for our clients. We can analyze your complete financial picture, gain an understanding of your life circumstances, dreams, and concerns, and recommend financial strategies and products that fit you. We don’t stay within one investment firm or recommend products to meet quotas.

That means we can offer true discretionary portfolio management that you won’t find at a wirehouse firm. When we see a market opportunity that would benefit you, we can jump on it. And since we desire to provide financial advice that is designed to deliver confidence, we are proud to say that we have 100% manager buy-in—our associates have the same investments as our clients. We don’t try to sell you something we wouldn’t put our own money into because we are committed to full disclosure and giving you access to products that are tailor-made to fit your needs.

Fee Transparency

Typically, independent financial advisors operate on a compensation model that is simple and straightforward with no hidden costs. This is important because we are not beholden to recommend products that will benefit us financially in any way. “How are you compensated?” is a question everyone should ask their wealth manager.

Unparalleled Service

We know what our clients need, and because of our independence, we can design processes and systems that work best. Our ability to implement your financial plan and make changes when they are necessary is much quicker than if we were required to use the workflows and software another company mandated.

We have also built a team of people who specialize in different areas so that all our clients have access to a wide range of services and expert advice. This is just one of many ways we strive to serve you better.

Relationship-Centered

At Anderson Financial Strategies, we know our clients personally and have developed close relationships with many of them. Because of this, we only offer advice that is aligned with our clients’ goals and make a point to keep up with any change in our clients’ situations that could affect their financial plan. Rather than being static, our financial plans grow with you. They are built to fit your life, not the other way around.

We have built a practice that is based on trust and mutual respect, and we hold ourselves personally responsible to our clients. They know they can always count on us.
