Director - Retirement Plans

Tim began his financial career in 1987 going to work for a private money management firm in Downtown Dayton. Over the years, his role moved into the plan administration and compliance side of qualified retirement plans. As participant directed 401(k) plans became more prevalent, he found himself working with a large number of financial advisers assisting them with the administration and record-keeping of their clients’ plans. It became obvious to Tim that there was a need for a financial adviser who would focus on 401(k) plans. So, at the end of 2014, he decided to move over to the financial advising side of qualified retirement plans and provide fiduciary level services to plan sponsors. Tim is now an independent fiduciary adviser exclusively serving retirement plan clients. He develops strategies that optimize retirement plans and can help reduce fiduciary liability by serving in a fiduciary capacity on the plan’s investment committee. In addition, he has a passion for financial education and he works very hard to ensure that each 401(k) plan participant gets the information and education they need to make sound investment decisions.

Tim graduated from Wright State University with a degree in Management Information Systems. He has also earned the designation of Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) from the Center for Fiduciary Studies. This designation is attained after completing a program on investment fiduciary standards of care and prudent practices for investment advisers and stewards. Tim’s love of financial education has led him to volunteer with Junior Achievement teaching financial principles to school age children.

On a personal note, Tim and his wife Susan reside in Beavercreek, Ohio with their dog Chester. They have 3 grown children. In their spare time, they love to bike ride and travel around the country in their RV.
